FHA & ADA State & Federal Legislation

A solution to housing discrimination starts with you. If you are attempting to buy or rent a house or apartment and you believe your rights have been violated, contact HUD or your local fair housing center. The Federal Fair Housing Act (FHA) prohibits housing discrimination due to seven (7) criteria: race, color, sex, religion, national origin, familial status, or disability.

The FHA is intended to protect against discrimination for individuals who qualify for a protected class.

Visit www.hud.gov/fairhousing or call the HUD Hotline at 1-800-669-9777 (English/Español), or 1-800-927-9275 (TTY). ABM is committed to protecting your rights under these Acts. Please view, below, our Modification Policy and Accommodation Policy based upon your need under the provisions of the FHA or ADA.
